Training to Get Ahead

The Assistant Manager Program is one of the first steps to starting something great with RadioShack. You'll enter the program as an Assistant Manager and progress through training modules focused on developing the skills necessary to be a successful manager. If selected to advance to Store Manager, you will receive additional training and certifications — all necessary to prepare you for your new role.

As a RadioShack Assistant Manager, you'll have a variety of responsibilities. You are expected to:

  • Maintain minimum levels of sales performance
  • Demonstrate a "Think Customers First" attitude at all times
  • Actively participate in all training sessions
  • Comply with all programs and initiatives

In addition to being a role model, your responsibilities are focused on:

  • Building your team
  • Operating the store
  • Serving the customer

We will make sure you are equipped with the skills you need, by providing:

  • New employee orientation
  • FasTrak training
  • Store meetings
  • Certifications
  • Monthly district training meetings

Assistant managers will have the potential to qualify for store management in as little as six to nine months. The minimum eligibility requirements include:

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
  • Must be reliable, have high personal integrity
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Flexible work schedule and assignment location

All applicants must meet one of the following criteria in addition to the minimum eligibility requirements:

  • Associate degree or higher
  • Four or more years of military experience
  • One year retail management experience
  • Two years retail-related work experience
  • One year RadioShack experience
